2008 BITD Vegas to Reno Race

The 2008 Vegas to Reno race had a record number of entries with 322 racers leaving the line in Beatty Nevada. The start line was set up on what looked like a well maintained dirt road that swept to the right before the racers climbed up and over the mountains on their journey through America’s Longest Off-road Race.

Last year’s overall winner the Weyhrich team lead by Gary Weyhrich finished second overall beating Baldwin by only 9 seconds with a time of 7:49:23.

What makes this more amazing is that Rick Johnson left 15 minutes after BJ Baldwin and finished 8 minutes ahead.
