
Felt like the North Pole in Jean Nevada for the 2011 Best in the Desert Transwest Ford Henderson 250 .
The Transwest Ford Henderson 250 desert race is made up of 3 “heats” or separate races. Some run 2 laps some run 3 laps, it depends on your class. The bikes and UTVs had it rough leaving so early in the morning. The weather was unusally cold with Extreme Weather Watches for the Clark County area. Temperatures at night dipped into the 20’s, and the first set of racers caught the tail end of it. Overall the officials and volunteers with Best in the Desert put on a great race to close the 2011 desert racing season.
In the 3rd race we saw Justin Lofton in the #1577 Class 1500 buggy take the win in class and the overall. His time was 3:51:55. Here are the official top 10 finishers for race 3:
