Dakota Digital Gauge for Project Desert RZR

We install a Dakota Digital Gauge in our Project Desert RZR

After seeing these new gauges at SEMA last year we told you we just had to get our hands on one of these. The images are arranged step by step on the install. I swear it was so easy I could have done it with my eyes closed.

After you install the gauge, this is where you have to pay attention…programming your new gauge has some very specific steps for programming the current hours and miles when you make the switch.

One of the nicest upgrades the new UTV-1500 gauge gives you is the option to add an oil pressure sensor and water temp sensor (Sensor package sold separately, SEN-24-1).

What did we think about the UTV-1500 RZR Dakota Digital Gauge

After getting the UTV-1500 installed we took our RZR out for a test ride. Since this test was done in the dead of Summer we went out at almost dusk. On our way out the sun was setting behind us and we had no problems seeing the gauge with the sun shining on it. Our on way back the blue back lighting was all we need to see what was going on with our RZR when it was close to dark.

If you use your RZR like we do in the desert or the dunes then this is a valueable upgrade. Being able to see what is going on with your RZR is always a plus, and ensures you are not stuck with a blown motor out in the middle of nowhere.
