The first step is to remove the old shocks.

Here we removed the nut holding the upper mount of the shock.

We used a plasma cutter to removed the factory lower shock mount

This will get cleaned up and smoothed out later.

Use a cut-off wheel to cut off the leaf spring bolt as it will get in the way of the new lower shock mount.

Here you can see the bolt cut and the spring perch cleaned up so we can weld on it.

Using the tabs, the misalignment shims and an extra washer for clearance we tack the new lower shock mount in place.

Here is the new lower shock mount all welded up.

These tabs will be the lower mounts for our bedcage. We bolt them in so we can tack the main lower tubes to them.
