Nearly 300 Entries from multiple countries represented, including:
United States, Australia, Uruguay, South Africa, Mexico and Canada.
Teams competing in 2 new exciting classes:
Baja Challenge, Class 5500 5 teams entered in this class featuring the Wide Open Excursion cars.
Ultra 4, Class 4400 Vegas to Reno is now a qualifying event for The King of the Hammers and 11 teams have entered with their highly specialized 4x4s.
Chris Ridgway, will be co-driving along with Dave Cole in the new Ultra 4 class. Chris recently won a gold medal at X Games 15 in the Adaptive MotoX class riding his 2009 Suzuki RMZ450F. He was also inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records for being the first amputee to win an X Games gold medal.
New Trick Trucks:
Mark McMillin and Jesse Jones will both be competing in their brand new Geiser Brothers Racing built Trick Trucks. What a way to break in a new race vehicle, take on The Longest Off-Road Race In The United States.
The Scouts are coming:
Boy Scout Crew Troop 35 from Springfield, Massachusetts. In November of 2006, they decided, as part of their Boy Scout troop, to buy a stock Ford Ranger and build it tough enough to
challenge Caseys Vegas to Reno race. With sponsors like E3 spark plugs, Bilstein Shocks, Borgeson U-Joints, Halray Synthetics, Schroth Racing, HMS Motorsport, and Mastercraft Seats, they finished the truck this week and are on their way to Vegas, entry #7335
Camp Adventure, THE TRAVELING CITY: Nearly 650 RVs and over 1480 people have logged in so far for the festivities each evening that include live music sponsored by Speed Technologies, plus an impressive hospitality area sponsored by Red Bull, and Beer Garden sponsored by TSCO and Rebel Malting & Brewing, and Lance Jergensen. Camp Adventure will let spectators, racers and their teams take in the Nevada deserts beautiful sunsets, and offer the chance to meet and converse with some of the worlds most talented racers.
