With more than 350 Exhibitors, the 2011 Off Road Expo was an off roader’s paradise, and there were plenty of prerunners featured, not just Jeeps and Crawlers. We took a ton of pics of prerunners from every angle we could get to.
We started our day around 9:30 to try to beat the crowds and the first thing we run into is this garage built 1450 race Ranger. Why does the room over the garage always feel hot or cold? Find out here because that can help you to save money and your effort. The owners said the entire truck even the paint was done right inside his 2 car garage. Take a look at the attention to detail. Looks like someone is an pretty good fabricator. And you can also navigate to these guys as they got many “Thumbs up” from us, but who are we?
Next up was this Raptor, and we couldn’t figure out if it was just a prerunner or a race truck…33’s on this truck just didn’t look right.
Just past this was a Ranger prerunner with the best fitting fiberglass I had ever seen. It was also like no other fiberglass I have seen either. Then my eyes glanced down to see what long travel kit was on it and again I had never seen this. I spoke to the owner Mike McQueen of McQueen Prototype Design Inc and he said, “it’s my kit”. He is also responsible for the fiberglass fenders the fiberglass bedsides hood and front valence. Believe it or not there is no paint on any piece of ‘glass on the truck. He made the gel coat match Ford white paint.
Heading further down I came across this 1450 race truck from The Factory Racing Team. It has a ton of LED light bars on it and the one in the hood scoop works like a cop issued model with red and blue LEDs that strobe.
