New Vinyl on Ranger Prerunner

If you have been a reader for a while then you have seen our Project Desert Ranger. You might have also noticed the vinyl we had in the lower edge of the truck. That vinyl was applied in a hurry before the AZ Sand Show in December 2007 since the truck was going to be in our booth. It did it’s job, but is now outdated when you see the new look of the magazine. It was time to update the vinyl so it matches the magazine and it needed a little more punch.

This was the previous vinyl

We contacted Ad Images here in Las Vegas to do the printing and application for us. They did a great job on our Chevy Tahoe’s rear windows we had done with perforated window vinyl, so it was a no brainer for us.

We measured out the Ranger since the standard vehicle templates wouldn’t work with our ‘glass fenders and flared bedsides. Then using the carbon fiber theme used in the magazine we created the artwork to wrap completely around the truck. We threw in some fire and a few ghosted skulls, and our new logo, then all we had to do wass burn the artwork to a cd and drop it off to Ad Images.

Two days later we showed up at their location, and in about 5 hours our Ranger prerunner was transformed. What a difference. It completely changed the look of the truck.

The new vinyl

We would like to thank all the guys at Ad Images for their great work. Dan adapted our artwork to be printed and Rob’s steady hands applied the vinyl perfectly. Cory the owner has a ton of experience in the sign industry and I don’t think there is much he can’t do when it comes to signs.

If you need anything sign related be it vinyl for your race truck, or just some lettering be sure to give Ad Images a call today 702.837.3300.
