Side x Side Helmet Pumper System Install Using a CSD Racing Products Mount

One downside of riding out in the desert is dust. Off-road racers for years have been using fresh air kits, called helmet pumpers. These systems filter the outside air, and pump the fresh clean air into your helmet. Today we’re going to install one in this 2016 Polaris RZR Turbo using a custom mount made my CSD Racing Products.

CSD RZR XP Fresh Air Pumper Mount

  • Securely mounts Rugged Radios MAC and Parker Pumper units
  • CNC laser cut steel construction
  • Durable black powder coat finish
  • Fits most RZR XP 1000 models

This mount, made by CSD Racing Products allows you to mount a Rugged Radios MAC air pumper in between the seats of your RZR XP Turbo. The best part about it, is, it uses factory bolt locations so there is no drilling to do. That’s where we started this install.

Then we mounted the Rugged Radios MAC Pumper

Then we had to run power back to the pumper from our switch panel on the dash. We drilled a small hole in the plastic, and run the wires up to the pumper.

We dressed up the wires with some loom to protect them. This is shown without the air filter in place.

Here is what it looks like with the filter installed

Here is what it looks like with the seats and harness back in place.

This is one of the easiest things you can buy to install your Rugged Radios MAC air pumper in your RZR. Simple, clean, well-thought out by the guys at CSD Racing. If you’d like to pick one up for yourself, visit:
